Summer Vacation- Part 3

Final Destination: Las Vegas, NV

Our friends, James and Brittany, met us for this leg of the vacation and it was a blast. 

Jesse and I found a nice surprise when we checked into our hotel...we had been upgraded to a suite!

We spent one morning at Hoover Dam.

The Wynne Breakfast...best.ever. This actually made one of my favorite things to do in Vegas. Sad that in revolves around food.

Old Vegas strip. This made my favorite list as well, loved all of the traditional bright lights.

Well, that concludes the McKee summer vacation blog posts. Six new states crossed off our list. We have now been to 42 states in three years of marriage! I love our traveling adventures.

Summer Vacation- Part 2

Second Stop: Grand Canyon, Arizona and Four Corners: New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona.

On the road again. On our way to the Grand Canyon.

Saw some large, calm deer. Obviously they don't have to worry about being hunted on national park territory.

Four Corners is out in the middle of nowhere. I am just glad there was a sign.

Next stop is Las Vegas!

Summer Vacation 2012- Part 1

California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. That's where the McKee's went this summer for vacation and it was a blast.

First Stop: Los Angeles, CA.

Hollywood was our first tourist attraction. The hand prints were a must. Most popular by far was Michael Jackson's hand prints.

Then onto a little shopping. Emphasis on the little, we window shopped

Malibu had gorgeous beaches and Pepperdine University has a beautiful campus and views. Here we are sitting on Pepperdine's campus lawn. I would not have studied if I went here.

 And of course the whole reason this trip was inspired was to see by best friend, Julie! She got to spend a whole day with us and we had a blast. She deserves her own collage of pictures.

Moving Out and Moving In

...TO OUR NEW HOUSE!

Jesse and I are so excited to get away from the kids above our apartment running/jumping and the loud music playing neighbors next door.

More importantly we are excited to have a place to call home again.

I guess the right thing to say is, home is wherever I am with Jesse (and it is), but let's face it, it's nice not to have to share walls with people.

This is the first house we have both agreed upon in 10+ months, so this is a huge accomplishment.

The house is already in perfect condition and it's cool because we actually know the previous owners, so we know that took great care of the house.

All  we need to do now is unpack and decorate to make it feel like home.
