I am a neat freak, most of the time. I don't mind doing dishes, ironing, vacuuming. I used to think it was therapeutic, now I find it slightly less therapeutic but very rewarding after I have cleaned my house from every inch. I take great pride in my house after it is clean and typically fall in love with it all over again.
However, there are some things I never thought I would do to get my house clean. As many of you know, we are getting ready for our house to go up on the market for sale and cleaning has been on my mind.
Here are just a few examples of my recent odd cleaning habits:
Steam ironed my shower curtains,
Ironed pillow cases,
Washed walls,
Cleaned the exterior of my washer and dryer...no judgement they look nice and shiny now,
And I have seriously debated about moping the garage..YIKES, now that is bad.
We need to sale fast so I can stop obsessing over this cleaning stuff.
Please tell me I am not crazy and list some of your own odd cleaning habits!

I knew that we were friends for a reason...You are not crazy and I don't think mopping the garage is weird. Some people relax by reading, taking baths or walking...I clean! I do alot of cleaning baseboards, taking everything out of cabinets so I can wipe them down, washing blinds and taking screens of the windows to wash. Just wait till you are pregnant and hit your nesting phase....Jacob got to see the real OSD clean freak in me! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing person! I know someone - and you KNOW it is not I - who takes everything off the floor of her closet every time she vacuums so she can vacuum the floor of her closet. Sick! Hope it sells soon!
