Extra, Extra Read All About It

The News: One week ago today Jesse and I found out that Jesse was being transferred to Houston, TX!

The Details: Jesse starts work there March 15 and I will joining him by the end of March. This is completely fast and crazy if you ask me, but I guess that is part of working for a big company.

The Work: We have only a few weeks to go to Houston and find an apartment to rent, thoroughly clean our house and get it ready to be out on the market, find a Realtor and do some work around the house. Luckily we don't have to pack a single thing, the company will do that for us and they will fly us down to Houston, so for the most part it is stress free, but that still doesn't mean there isn't lots of work to do.
We plan to rent for a while until I can find a job and figure out our commute schedule and to figure out which neighborhoods we want to live in.
Here is something crazy to think about, we will have lived in four cities in the past 22 months: Stillwater, Ponca City, Bartlesville and Houston. Even crazier to think about is how in only 11 months we have lived in three of those cities. Less than a year and three moves...good thing we like to travel.

Our New City Skyline

Although we are sad to leave close family and friends, we are also very excited to start this new adventure. We will have so many options of places to go to church, places to buy a house, shopping (Ikea and Target in the same place...my dream!!), eating out and options for me to find a job (most important of course because I will be spending lots of money at Ikea and Target!). Just joking Jesse...or not.

Please be thinking of us as we prepare for this change in our lives and please know that everyone is welcome to come visit us :)

  2. Well, I guess this means it's public now! Only an extra hour and a half drive for us - and a whole new city for us to visit. Make sure there's a guest room.
